{"id":8820,"date":"2024-12-10T18:38:46","date_gmt":"2024-12-10T18:38:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fmf-old.abidesites.com\/?post_type=recipes&#038;p=8820"},"modified":"2025-09-05T22:24:40","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T22:24:40","slug":"smokey-pumpkin-deviled-eggs","status":"publish","type":"recipes","link":"https:\/\/fmf-old.abidesites.com\/?recipes=smokey-pumpkin-deviled-eggs","title":{"rendered":"Smokey Pumpkin Deviled Eggs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 8848--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Smokey Pumpkin Deviled Eggs<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<ul>\n<li>1 dozen eggs at room temperature<\/li>\n<li>5 tbsp Farmer&#039;s Market Foods Organic Pumpkin Puree<\/li>\n<li>3-4 tbsp Mayonnaise of choice<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp Dijon mustard<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp pickling brine liquid from cornichons jar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp smoked paprika (plus more for sprinkling as a garnish)<\/li>\n<li>6 each small cornichons for garnish<\/li>\n<li>salt to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Place eggs in a large pot of cold water. Cover with a lid and bring to a boil. Once the water is at a rolling boil, shut off the heat and allow the eggs to sit in the water for 12 to 15 minutes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Fill up a large bowl with cold water and ice.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Carefully remove the eggs from the hot water with a slotted spoon and add them to the bowl of ice cold water. Let them sit for until cooled.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Peel the hardboiled eggs and cut them in half.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Separate the egg yolks into a mixing bowl and place the halved egg whites onto a platter or egg dish and set aside.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Mash the cooked egg yolks with a fork and then add the pumpkin puree, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, paprika, and salt to the egg yolks. Add the pickling liquid one tsp at a time, mixing after each addition. Mix until fully combined. Add more liquid as needed if the mix is too thick.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Scoop the pumpkin egg yolk mixture into a piping bag. Cut the tip of the bag and fill the egg white shells just to the top \u2013 do not overfill.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Pipe 3-5 thin lines of mixture onto each egg white to resemble the grooves of a pumpkin.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Cut each cornichon in half lengthwise, then crosswise.
