{"id":6420,"date":"2021-12-13T18:45:09","date_gmt":"2021-12-13T18:45:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fmf-old.abidesites.com\/?post_type=recipes&#038;p=6420"},"modified":"2025-09-05T22:54:53","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T22:54:53","slug":"cranberry-lemon-linzer-cookies","status":"publish","type":"recipes","link":"https:\/\/fmf-old.abidesites.com\/?recipes=cranberry-lemon-linzer-cookies","title":{"rendered":"Cranberry Lemon Linzer Cookies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 6422--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Cranberry Lemon Linzer Cookies<\/h2>\n<p>\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-image\" src=\"https:\/\/fmf-old.abidesites.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Stahlbush-Linzer-Cookies-iv-150x150.jpg\"\/>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<ul>\n<li>1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 cup granulated sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 large egg (room temperature)<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>2 1\/2 cups all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 cups almond or hazelnut flour<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon baking powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon fine salt<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons lemon zest (divided)<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg<\/li>\n<li>1 14 oz can Farmers Market Organic Cranberry Sauce<\/li>\n<li>Powdered sugar (to finish)<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment cream the butter &amp; sugar until fluffy.<\/li>\n<li>Add the egg &amp; vanilla extract. Beat until combined.<\/li>\n<li>Sift in the flours, baking powder, salt, 1 teaspoon lemon zest &amp; nutmeg. Mix until dough comes together, about 60 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Shape dough into a disc, wrap in plastic &amp; refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours.<\/li>\n<li>When ready to roll out, preheat the oven to 350(f) degrees. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.<\/li>\n<li>On a lightly floured surface roll out dough to a 1\/4 inch thick rectangle. Using your desired cookie cutter, cut out 24 cookies &amp; transfer to prepared baking sheets.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the edges are golden.<\/li>\n<li>In a separate small mixing bowl stir together cranberry sauce &amp; remaining lemon zest.<\/li>\n<li>Once the cookies are cool enough to handle, evenly spread the sauce on half of the cookies.
